I made calculations to determine the size of the flotation tanks, using estimated weight, volume and displacement of all the parts.... on the first water test at the pool it seem impossible to make this thing sink !
That's how good I am in physics !
I'll be chopping the tanks down so I can make the ROV close to neutral bouyancy as possible.

I ended up building the manipulator arm so that it slides back into the ROV to make it easy to transport. I machined a pvc tee to fit around the arm , secured it to the front part of the frame and added a screw to hold the arm position.
This feature makes it also possible to turn the claw into any position I may need. (though I have to surface the rov to do this).
